"Celebrate Canada Day - Kelowna" is our annual, free community festival held in Waterfront Park, Jim Stuart Park and NEW this year, Kerry Park, as well as Prospera Place for residents and visitors to celebrate our nation's birthday. There are over 50+ activities and performances that are multi-generational and family-friendly, sure to entertain festival goers all day long. Over 55,000 people have attended these celebrations each year for the past three years! This local celebration is produced as a community partnership between Festivals Kelowna, Folkfest, and the Kelowna Canada Day Concerts Society, bringing the community a huge number of activities for all ages and abilities to enjoy. Although admission to the festival is free, donations are greatly appreciated and help support the costs of this celebration. Volunteers with donation bins will be located at the entrances to Waterfront Park and at the entertainment stages. Your donations help keep the Canada Day Celebrations free and accessible to all. Made in Canada Marketplace Applications Celebrate Canada Day - Kelowna invites applications for interested artisans and crafters for our "Made in Canada Marketplace" each year. The "Marketplace" is intended to showcase the artwork of Canadian artisans and their handmade, Canadian artwork. Note: If you were approved at last year's event and are not planning to sell new products, simply apply and indicate this on your form. If you are new, your artwork will need to be approved for the Marketplace. Download an application here. Canada Day Bazaar Are you a small or home-based business, looking for a way to showcase and sell your product in a fun environment? The well received "Canada Day Bazaar" provides space for small, retail and commercial businesses at a reasonable price to showcase their products to over 55,000 people at the festival. Community Group Showcase Local, non-profit associations are welcome to set-up a display booth in Waterfront Park in our "Community Area". where they will have the opportunity to share information to over 55,000 patrons about the important role their non-profit group plays in our community, making it a better place to live. A nominal participation fee is charged as a donation towards the festival. Download the application here. Food Vendor Call for Applications Applications for interested food and beverage vendors for our Taste of Canada Marketplace are accepted annually. There are a limited number of spaces available, and are allocated based on such factors as creating a diverse mix of food products for the festival and application deadlines. Download the application here. Kids Zone Do you have an activity that children would enjoy participating in? Face painting, hula hooping, hockey shoot, balloon drop, parachute play, arts & crafts, storytelling - these are just some of the fun and interactive stations that groups have presented at Canada Day. We welcome groups and organizations to set up an interactive display for free, and in return are able to share information about their product or service to the community.
